At Sawchuk Jewelers we are proud to offer the highest level of qualifications for jewelry appraisals. Kevin and Heidi Sawchuk are both certified GIA graduate gemologists and diamond appraisers. Using binocular microscopes and special gemological equipment, we will expertly identify and grade gemstones, and assess the worth and value of fine jewelry to prepare appraisals in our Hilliard jewelry store.

We provide an original appraisal and a copy for your records. Our appraisal documentation includes an identification of the metal content, as well as a description of the quality and color of the gemstones.

We prepare appraisals for two primary reasons. The first is an insurance appraisal designed to reflect the current replacement value you may need for adequate insurance coverage. The second appraisal purpose is for estate appraisals, indicating in most cases the fair market value for disposal in the marketplace or for estate tax purposes. While we prepare appraisals, we clean and inspect the jewelry carefully.
